I realised we hadn’t shared any photos with you of our current exhibition in Las Rada Wine and Tapas Bar in Naas.  Here is a quick run through some of the latest work, but not all, as we don’t have sufficiently detailed photos of all the pieces.  Most textile art needs to be photographed before it goes behind glass in order to get good detail and some of us keep forgetting to do that before we deliver our work to the framers!!

Colleen Prendiville:    ‘Coast’  ……. pigment on canvas, hand stitch

Helen McLoughlin:  ‘Making Tracks’…… dyed fabric background, applique, block print, hand stitch

Kathrina Hughes:  ‘Windswept’ …. layered, dyed fabrics, painted and mono printed, machine and hand stitch

Eimear Molony:  ‘Symbiosis 2’……. mixed media

Marie Dunne:  ‘Shoreline’…. wet felted assorted wools, weaving offcuts, mother of pearl discs, glass and barnacle shells

Barbara Seery:  ‘Night Shades’…. screen print on linen using procion dyes
