Great evening at the launch of our new name

We had a lovely evening at the launch of our new name and opening of our latest exhibition at Las Rada.  Our exhibition was officially opened by Lucina Russell, Arts Officer with Kildare County Council.  Her opening words made us fully appreciate how wonderful it is to have a collaboration such as ours with a local business.  Jules and Joanne, owners of Las Rada, generously support our work and actively encourage customers to view each exhibition and, in return, they get a visually pleasing and regularly updated decor!

Here are some snippets of the work in the current exhibition:

‘Green at Heart’ by Kay McKenna is a vibrant textile interpretation of the centre of a kiwi fruit…. Yum!

Pylon I by Helen McLoughlin
‘Pylon I’ by Helen McLoughlin is another vibrant piece making pylons look particularly attractive. Obviously we will be seeing more pylons in Helen’s work in future!

‘Nature’s Scars’ by Rose Cronin is a many layered felted piece with dramatic cuts into the layers to reveal the colours beneath. It really is a very dramatic piece.

In a day or two we will share with you some photographs of the event…. we were delighted that so many people from local businesses and textile artists from as far as Howth and Portmarnock came to support us.  So watch this space.. you might see a photograph of yourself!
